Sligo Airport is a fully equipped modern regional airport located 5nm West of the beautiful city of Sligo in the scenic North West of Ireland.
Sligo Airport is the North West base for the Irish Coast Guard Search & Rescue Sikorsky S-61 helicopter operated by CHC Ireland. Because of this we offer extended opening hours from 0730 to 2100hrs daily and a call-out service is available outside of these hours.
Sligo Airport has a 1200m tarmac runway which can cater for aircraft up to ATR 72 size.
We welcome corporate flights, charter flights and all types of general aviation aircraft. Currently we have three flying schools based at the airport as well as a light aircraft maintenance facility.
Sligo Air Traffic Control Service operates daily from 0730 to 1815 and a Aerodrome Flight Information Service from 1815 to 2100. (Check NOTAMs for any temporary changes of service). Fire Category 2 is available every day with Cat 3, Cat 4, or Cat 5 available on request. Car hire is available at Sligo Airport 6 days a week and cars can be booked in advance through our AVIS office in the terminal building.
